My boys love to play, play, play! And, with the hot weather, we've done tons of inside play.

And, this morning, playing on Mommy and Daddy's "extend-a-bed!" Chad & I are buying a new mattress, so we pulled it onto the floor to see if we needed a new box as well. The boys have played in our room all day!

Time is going way, way too fast! My Callen Ty is 11 months old! I cannot believe it at all and am in COMPLETE denial. But, since he really is 11 months old, I should post about it!
My sweet, sweet boy
Callen is ridiculous, fantastic, and funny all the time. He is so joyful and keeps us smiling and laughing all the time. Here are some of the shots taken during our 11-month "photo shoot."
Here are some things about Callen right now:- weighs just over 20 pounds (rough estimate)
- Callen is a great sleeper. (Whew!) He takes 2 naps a day, usually about an hour and a half each. He goes to sleep between 6:30 - 7:00pm and wakes up around 6:30 - 7:00am.
- He has 5 teeth: two bottom, three top
- Callen eats more and more table food every day, although I keep filling him with pureed veggies and will continue to as long as he will eat them! Some favorite new foods are macaroni & cheese, baked beans, avocado & almost anything off of Mommy's plate!
- Callen is still taking steps, but prefers crawling as his primary mode of transportation.
- He does not like to sit still and read with us. He prefers eating books to reading them.
- Callen plays with Ranger all the time and loves him so much!
- Callen can High-5! So, next time you see him, ask for one!

Aunt Megan came for a visit. We are so excited to see you again in just 2 months!

Callen has taken his first steps! I wouldn't classify him a "walker" just yet, but I'm sure he will be very soon. Sometimes he can walk several steps on several occasions, but other times he just falls down. I was happy to catch these steps on video yesterday. Enjoy!
Our Ranger Lee has passed the 2 1/2 year mark! He has officially turned into a little boy right before our very eyes. 
He is big and STRONG!
Ranger loves his Daddy so very much. In fact, Ranger loves most people. He really loves his grandparents and jumps at any chance to see or talk to any of them. It warms my heart that he loves his friends and family so much.
Here are some tidbits about Ranger at this age I want to remember:
- He talks in 3rd person ("Ranger needs fruit snacks, please."). We've been working with him on talking in 1st person, but I also love how he talks now and know I will miss it when it goes away.
- Ranger is Mr. Empathetic. If anyone is hurting around him, he is so concerned. In fact, if Callen is crying because he hurt himself, Ranger joins in every time. It's sweet, but it's also quite daunting to calm down two screaming boys! But, Ranger's sweet, tender heart is something I always want him to have.
- Ranger will often discipline himself if he feels his actions are "spanking-worthy." He will reach around and spank his own bottom. I always have to keep from laughing because almost any time he does this, he doesn't actually even deserve a spanking!
- He is a BIG helper. Ranger wants to help Chad and me do anything and everything: cooking, cleaning, fixing things. He doesn't care, as long as he is helping us!
- But, his wanting to help with everything leads to his new phrase: "I do it by self." Ranger wants to do EVERYTHING himself, which is often easier said than done. We are trying to teach him that he doesn't get to do everything. But, I'm also learning that sometimes I need to let him do it, no matter how long it takes.
- Ranger loves his little tools. He fixes things all over the house and will use every tool his has to do it!
- Other things Ranger loves: socks, wearing PJs for naptime, The Beach Boys, garbage trucks, swimming.
- Ranger's favorite shows and movies: "Wipeout" (he calls it "Fall Down Game"), "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse," the "Toy Story" movies, Texas Rangers' baseball games with Daddy, "Finding Nemo," and "Curious George"
- Ranger's favorite foods and drinks: lemonade, strawberries, peanut butter & jelly, chicken nuggets, french fries, yogurt, Fruit Loops, bagels, bananas, bread. And, something else to note, Ranger has started eating veggies again! It does take our encouragement, but he eats them now and has even asked for MORE broccoli on occasion! Yipee!!
- We are working on Ranger's social skills, and I feel like we are making great strides. He says "thank you" all the time, and with reminders, says "please" too! "Yes Maam/Sir" and "No Maam/Sir" are coming along a little more slowly, but he is getting better with those as well.
- Ranger talks all the time. He also loves singing his ABCs and counting. He can count to 15. He repeats absolutely everything we say, even when we don't think he is listening. So, we have learned to be careful!
- Ranger talks about heaven all the time now. I know he doesn't understand what it is exactly, but I love that he already wants to go there. He always tells me that he dreams about heaven. He knows that God and Jesus live there, and he goes through and names all of his friends and family to make sure they are going to heaven too.
- Ranger does know how to whine and throw a fit, which quickly puts him in the corner of our room with the door closed. He may need to vent, but I don't have to listen to or watch it!
Ranger is learning all about animals and seems to like all of them. One night I had just put him in the bath when Chad found a little gecko in our kitchen. I knew Ranger would really want to see it, so took him out of the tub. He LOVED it and happily chased it around the kitchen screaming "baby gecko!"
Mommy see, Mommy do. I know Chad doesn't love this, but it sure helps Ranger stay occupied while I get ready in the mornings!

My two boys ADORE each other and play together often. I've learned that they will have a blast in the empty tub, so sometimes they hang out there while I get dressed and ready for the day. They make a game with screaming and cups look like so much fun!
But yelling together isn't reserved only for the bathtub. They will yell and sing together pretty much anywhere!
We love our Ranger Roo and treasure each day that the Lord gives us with him. He is the sweetest little guy, and we are blessed to be his parents.
