Last week our sweet Ranger turned 3, and we celebrated several times! Our first celebration began on his birthday morning with happy face pancakes!

Always my helper, Ranger was very excited about making our special birthday pancakes!

Callen wanted in on the action too!

You can never have too much whipped cream!

My birthday boy!!

Callen was clueless, and just happy to have a yummy breakfast!

Breakfast was a little messy, so some underwear time was necessary. :-)

Later that night, we had dinner at Nonnie & Grumpy's. Ranger was really excited about his birthday brownies and finally getting to blow out candles. Can you tell by his face? Hehe!

On Saturday we had his birthday party! He was so excited! When I woke him up that morning, he said, "Is it my party day?"

I made cake pops for the very first time. They might not have been the most perfect, but they were pretty tasty!

Our attempt at a family picture. Callen wasn't feeling his best, hence the look on his face.

He sat with Grammy & DadDad for a long time!

Ranger had almost all of his favorite friends and family at his party...Karson is definitely one of those people!

Again, Ranger was very excited about blowing out his candles and was waiting at the table before any of us were even there yet!

I seriously can't believe he is 3...

His mouth was red all day due to the red velvet cake pops and the red "Bob" juice!

All the kids enjoyed their treats!

Then it was present time! Having never had friends at his party before, he was overwhelmed by the loot!

Callen did eventually get up, but he stayed with DadDad for a very long time.

Ranger love, love, loves when his Daddy plays guitar, so we gave him his very own for his birthday. He was so excited, and immediately played a Beach Boys inspired concert with his Daddy for the family! Since then, we have had many similar concerts here at home. My happy boys make wonderful music together!

We had such a wonderful time celebrating our Ranger's 3rd birthday. Having a sweetie like him gives us so many reasons to celebrate!

On Wednesday, Ranger went to preschool for the very first time! I had always said I would wait until next fall to have him start, but Chad and I thought that he was actually ready now and would really benefit from preschool a few days a week.

The Lord opened a door for us last week when a spot at Stonebriar Preschool Pals opened up for Ranger! This was absolutely the place I wanted him to be, but there was a waiting list, so I was really surprised and happy when they called to say he could join now! As soon as I told him, he was so excited, and he kept asking when he would start. He goes to preschool now on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 - 2:00. This has been an adjustment for Callen too, but I think we are all happy with the small change in our weekly routine!

Ready for his first day! He was really excited to wear his backpack and hold his lunch box. :-)

On the way!

Walking in!

Ranger walked in and seemed to have no problems! He looked around at all the new toys, Playdough & new friends. He didn't seem sad, which made it so much better for me. If he had cried, I would have totally broken down, I'm sure!

His teachers told me at the end of the day that he had no problems and was so well-behaved all day!

Ranger was excited to see me when I picked him up, and even started crying while he hugged me. It was so sweet! He didn't nap, so I think his tears were a result of being tired and being happy to see me since I've never left him that long with anyone but family or close friends. But, before we left he told me he wanted to stay at preschool, so I wasn't too worried. He came home and was asleep in about 3 minutes. :-)

This morning he was happy to go for Day #2! We really feel blessed by this opportunity & know Ranger will benefit from it.

At the end of last year, we had our family pictures made. I realized that I never posted them on our blog. I love how many of my boys' expressions you can see here. Enjoy!

This final picture captures our family perfectly!

I am 20 weeks pregnant this week! We had an appointment with my doctor today and were able to see our little one on a sonogram. Our little guy or girl is healthy! We did decide not to find out the baby's gender this time around, even though it would have been so easy to find out during the sonogram. But, we stayed strong and are really excited about the big reveal on our little one's actual birth day!

He or she wasn't all that cooperative during the sonogram and never stayed still very long. Little one never wanted to turn towards us very long. We did get a good shot of one sweet little foot...

And here is a sweet little face (alien-like it may look). :-) Little One moved constantly, which is a great sign! Everything looked healthy and normal, and I am measuring right where I should be. The next time we see this sweet face should be at our 36-week sonogram, right before meeting Little One face to face at 39 weeks!

I am feeling good! Just a little tired, but that is to be expected. I gained a couple of pounds this month, so I think I'm doing my part! We have scheduled the c-section for May 14th...I know it will be here before we know it!

In December, our sweet Callen Ty turned 15 months old! I'm a little behind with this update since he is almost 16 months old, but I don't think he minds. :-)

Callen is our little go-getter. He is into absolutely everything and loves to discover by trying it out, rather than watching others. At his pediatrician appointment, he measured at 22 lbs, 5 oz (25th%), is 30.5 inches long (25-50th%), and has a 19.5 inch around head (97th!). We are so blessed that he is a happy guy and growing right on track!

Callen has turned into quite the little babbler and will carry on conversations with just about anyone who gives him the time. He has some words: Mama, Dada, A-ger (Ranger), but mostly he babbles. He repeats many things we say and I know when he is actually saying "thank you" and "bless you," although people who don't know him probably wouldn't think he was saying much at all.

Callen is a great sleeper! He goes to bed around 7:15 and sleeps until 6:30 or so. He happily plays for 15-20 minutes before I get him up in the morning. He takes a 1 hour nap at 9, then another 1.5-2 hour nap in the afternoon. Keeping that nap in the morning to no more than 1 hour is crucial to afternoon nap success!

He is just like Ranger in that he has a great affection for his lovie and the two animals he sleeps with. One is a stuffed puppy, the other is a stuffed "Squirt the Turtle" from Finding Nemo. After the bad rash on his face a month or two ago, I decided the paci should go to prevent that from happening again (he is SUCH a drooler when he teeths!). Thankfully, these little friends of his help him stay cozy at night. He also will grab his lovie and animals and come up to be cozy with us for a few minutes, randomly throughout the day. So sweet!

Callen is an affectionate little guy and loves giving hugs and kisses. Just beware...his kisses can be sloppy!!

Callen is pretty skilled with a fork now, and will often eat foods with a fork that he won't eat with his hands. It also helps keep him a little cleaner! I haven't tackled the spoon really, but that's the next step. He's a good little eater most of the time and isn't scared of new foods. But, just like Ranger, he has a sweet tooth and loves a good cookie now and then! He has 11 teeth that are quite helpful with all the food chomping!

Callen loves to climb and play. He will climb on absolutely anything (as evidenced by his returned gift from Santa this year ;-) ). Callen is a pro at going up and down the stairs, which is helpful as I get larger each week.

He is quite persistent too and will get frustrated if he can't get where he wants to go. He loves to "ride horses" - except the horse is usually my crossed leg if I'm sitting, or anyone who happens to be laying on the floor. Callen will just plop right down and start bouncing up and down. He is a big fan of chase and loves to be surprised. He will often come and take a toy from Ranger, just because he wants Ranger to chase him for it! In the last week, Callen has learned how to open the doors in our house - much to my chagrin.

Ranger and Callen are good, good buddies. They play together rather well much of the time. Callen always wants to see what Ranger is doing, and Ranger does love being right where Callen is too if it looks like fun. They love getting each other out of bed in the morning and at naps.

We love, love, love our sweet Callen Ty! He is such a delight and we laugh at him daily. I am so happy God gave us this little one to love on!
