One of the wonderful thing about homeschooling is the field trips we go on with our friends.  On this trip, we went to a traveling exhibit called "the Compassion Experience."

Our buddies the Moores and Chamblees!

This huge trailer with tents is set up, and we walked around in small groups with headphones and iPhones.  It guided us through simulated homes and countries of children living in poverty who have never learned about God.  Then, it shows you how their lives changed once a group of people taught them about God.  It's really incredible, and I hope that our young kids were able to grasp just a little of what it means to live somewhere else and not have the privileges we do.

If anything, it is always so enjoyable to be together with like-minded families, and the kids can play and have fun with each other pretty much anywhere!
